Varsity Tennis competed in their first tournament of the season in Llano yesterday. Lauryn Boyer and Kyra Kolek earned 2nd place in girls’ doubles and Albany Walker took 2nd place in girls' singles, Rene Alvarado and Omar Almanza earned 4th place in boys’ doubles. Way to go Eagles!
Varsity Eagle Basketball heads into the playoffs next week. The Eagles will take on San Antonio Lee and the game will be played at Comfort High School on Tuesday, 2/21/23, with tipoff scheduled for 8:00 PM.
Lady Eagle Softball heads to D-Bats for the Ingram softball tournament this morning. Players should be released at 10 AM. Their schedule for the 3-day tournament is:

Eagle basketball has its last regular season game tonight (2/14/23). The boys take on Harper with JV starting at 5 PM and varsity following about 6:15. Tonight is also senior night so come out and support the Eagles as they wrap up district play and get ready for the playoffs!
Blood Drive
The Student Council is sponsoring a blood drive this Wednesday, February 8th during the school day. Students 16 years old and older are encouraged to donate and receive 5 eagle hours for their community service. Younger students can have an adult donate in their name. Requirements are as follows: Weight requirement is 120 pounds or more, 16 year olds need a completed guardian consent form, Picture ID (Student ID or Driver's License), fill out the online Health Questionnaire the day of donation.

The LBJHS Cheer meeting for all interested students wanting to tryout for cheer for the 2023-2024 season will be held in Mrs. Kuehler's classroom 310 next TUESDAY January 31 during advisory. Information about tryouts, costs, and practices will be handed out. This meeting is open to all students grades 9-11. We hope to see you there.
